PS. I think many arguments against AGW and CAGW (catastrophic AGW) come from the basis of the Simulation Heuristic you discuss. For example, concerns about the idea of spending money and resources to fix a problem that is not yet apparent or cannot be comprehended, or the idea that disasters will happen anyway so trying to stop CAGW is just setting us up for a fall.
